EENA : (European Emergency Number Association). The Association is a Brussels-based NGO, created in 1999 and dedicated to promoting quality emergency services. EENA is used as a discussion platform for emergency services, public authorities, decision-makers, researchers, associations and solution providers to improve emergency response in accordance with citizens’ requirements. EENA also encourages the establishment of an effective system to alert citizens about imminent or developing emergencies. EENA members include more than 1400 emergency service representatives from more than 80 countries worldwide, 100 solution providers, 15 international associations / organisations, more than 200 members of the European Parliament and more than 90 researchers.
